How would you like to walk into your Walmart or ShopRite and buy some alcohol? It may happen. Some lawmakers in Trenton say it is time for the state to change its laws and make alcoholic beverages more readily available in big box stores and in supermarkets. Assemblyman Lou Greenwald is from South Jersey; Greenwald says the state should look at new laws that would allow bigger retailers the opportunity to sell alcohol. Some critics say it would put smaller liquor stores out of business.
