Gov. Chris Christie and the unions are going to head to court again. Some key unions are suing state government because of a pay freeze that was enacted by Christie. Some key unions, including the Policemen’s Benevolent Association Local 105 had their contracts run out on June 30 and the unions didn’t want to negotiate because of the state’s decision to not fully fund the pension system. The state said all step increases would be suspended while the workers continued without a contract.
