PUBLIC HEARING HELD ON CONTROVERSIAL PIPELINE

A public hearing was held this week on a controversial pipeline project that could run to Upper Township.  The New Jersey Board of Public Utilities held a hearing on a proposal by South Jersey Gas to construct a pipeline that would run through the Pinelands.  The Pinelands Commission cast a vote last year with a deadlocked 7-7 vote on the project; now it has gained support from local business organizations.
