PUBLIC HEARING HELD ON BUDGET INCREASE IN MIDDLE TOWNSHIP

The public got its chance to speak its mind on the budget in Middle Township. A public hearing was held on Monday on the budget, but the committee did not adopt. A nearly three cent increase to the budget is being proposed. Increased costs came from a reduction in state aid and the dollars spent for snow removal. The Middle Township Committee is working on reducing positions through attrition to hold off higher tax rates.
