The economy hasn’t stopped taxes. The Asbury Park Press reports that property taxes have gone up 3.3 percent. The report also says that when the loss of the Homestead Tax Rebate is factored in, the increase was 23.5 percent. The paper reviewed 415 towns and found that 379 towns went up in taxes and down in 35 towns.
