Princeton Professor and activist Cornel West was the keynote speaker Thursday at a civil rights symposium held at Stockton College. The 10th Annual Fannie Lou Hamer Human and Civil Rights Symposium was held in honor of Hamer’s speech at the Democratic National Convention held in 1964 in Atlantic City. West told the audience that he believes issues of race and inequality have not been resolved in America. The event also included panel discussions and excerpts from the nine previous symposiums.
