Tuesday is primary election day in New Jersey, and voter turnout is expected to be dismal. There are very few contested primaries statewide as the assembly races top the political ticket for the first time in 16 years. Locally, there are no contested primaries on the state level. Upper Township will have a contested republican primary election with the two winners very likely to be elected to office in November.
