The area’s daily newspaper is up for sale. The Press of Atlantic City says that its parent company has put the paper out for sale. ABARTA put the The Press Media Group on the block, saying they believe another company would be better to deal with the growth constraints of the newspaper industry. According to the story on the paper’s website, “ABARTA is a third- and fourth-generation family business based in Pittsburgh, Pa., with interests in beverages, frozen food, energy, and technology.”
