POWER WAS LOST TO THOUSANDS TODAY

A major power outage took place in northern Cape May County today. Areas of Dennis Township, Upper Township, and Ocean City were effected with over 5,000 customers without power. Atlantic City Electric has not yet released a reason for the power outage. According to the outage map, power was restored shortly after noon to most customers after the outage was first reported closer to 10 a.m.
