POWER OUTAGES AS A RESULT OF STORMS

Atlantic City Electric is responding to several weather-related issues Sunday afternoon.  A strong line of thunderstorms rolled through Cape May County around 4:15pm Sunday which knocked out power to thousands of residents.  A transformer fire was reported near 7th Street and Ocean Avenue in Avalon this afternoon.  A severe thunderstorm warning remains in effect as a second line of bad weather will roll over our region in the 5pm hour.
