POST STORM ASSESSMENT: MARINAS, BOARDWALKS, UTILITY POLES, ROOFS ALL DESTROYED

A marina building toppled in Somers Point, the boardwalk ripped to shreds in Wildwood, roofs on businesses in Cape May peeled by high winds, and utility poles knocked down like toothpicks.  That’s the aftermath of a storm system that crushed the southern shore region late Monday morning with wind gusts over 80mph.  Atlantic City Electric is holding a conference call with municipal leaders Tuesday to discuss power restoration in the region.
