The 2015 New Jersey Kids Count report released on Monday, showed that Cumberland and Atlantic Counties ranked 21st and 20th among the state’s 21 counties for child well-being. The report said that the number of children living in poverty in Atlantic County increased by 60 percent between 2009 and 2013. Atlantic County had the lowest average median family income in the state in 2013 and the second highest family unemployment rate. Cape May County moved up in the state rankings, from 15th to 14th.
