Expect historically low voter turnout during the election next week. Those are the words of Monmouth University Polling Director Patrick Murray. Murray spoke with Coastal Broadcasting saying that state-wide, he expects turnout to be below 30 percent in this legislative election. According to their figures, turnout has never been this low since records have been kept on this type of thing. Murray did say in districts like the 1st, and 2nd, turnout should be higher because the elections are more contested there. Overall, most incumbents are expected to keep their seats.
