POLL: STATE VOTERS WANT PROPERTY TAX RELIEF OVER AN INCOME TAX CUT

The people have spoken. A new poll says that state residents prefer a cut to their property taxes over cutting their income taxes. The Rutgers-Eagleton poll shows that state residents approve of an income tax cut, but would prefer a cut to property taxes. The income tax cut isn’t necessarily as big as people would hope. After it is phased in, a family earning $50,000 would only save about $80 per year.
