A majority of state residents don’t believe that New Jersey should get involved in taking over Atlantic City’s finances. A new Rutgers-Eagleton poll has 51 percent of state residents against the state intervene. Meanwhile, 49 percent of the state thinks gambling should be kept in Atlantic City only. State lawmakers are pushing a ballot question that would allow for expanded casino gaming to North Jersey. This is up 6 points from their last poll. 44 percent were for expanding the gaming to other parts of the state.
