It was a strong sign from New Jersey voters. State residents overwhelming support New York Police Department surveillance in New Jersey. State officials were outraged when the NYPD did not tell authorities of the work being done to keep an eye on potential Muslim terrorists groups. The Quinnipiac University says 70 percent of respondents felt the police were doing what they had to do.
