New polling data shows that state residents like Gov. Chris Christie as governor, but don’t think he would make a great president. The new Quinnipiac University poll says that 51 percent of the state approve of his job as governor, but only 24 percent believe he would make a good president. A high majority of voters believe him when he says he won’t run for president in 2012 as well. President Barack Obama only received a 46 percent approval rating for Jersey voters.
