A choking child was saved by Egg Harbor Township Police. Police say their officers responded to a vehicle stopped on Fire Rd. in reference to a child who was choking. The officers performed pediatric CPR/choking skills on the child and were able to clear his airway and the child began breathing on his own. The officers stood-by with the child and his mother until care was turned over to the Egg Harbor Township Ambulance Squad and AtlantiCare Paramedics. The child was transported to Shore Medical Center for further treatment.
