POLICE ON LOOK OUT FOR DRIVER INVOLVED IN ACCIDENT

Two utility poles were hit by a driver that is now missing. Emergency workers on scene tell Coastal Broadcasting that traffic on Route 9 is shut down from Avalon Blvd. to the scene of the two accidents near Fairway Dr. and Bay Acres Dr. The driver of the van hit two poles, one block from each other, which forced traffic to be shut down shortly after 8 p.m. Police are asking anyone with information to come forward. Middle Township Police can be contacted at 465-8700. The Cape May County Sheriff’s Department was on-scene to assist with investigation.
