Police and firefighters held a joint rally in Trenton on Thursday, blasting the Christie administration over some reforms the governor wants to make to employees’ unions. Firemen showed up in force, noting that Governor Chris Christie wants to take away benefits for firemen, but then show up at their funerals when they die in the line of duty. The rally was supposed to draw thousands of participants, the final crowd total was estimated at 15,000. Christie says these rallies will have zero impact on his decision making process.
