Nearly 2,000 brave souls plunged into the Atlantic Ocean on New Year’s Day in Brigantine. It was the 13th Annual Polar Bear Plunge in that community. Other towns holding similar plunges on Tuesday were Atlantic City, Margate and Ventnor. Donations were taken in Brigantine for the Fisher House, a charity that provides housing and transportation to wounded military personnel and their families. This year’s goal for the cause was $60,000.
