Lawmakers in Trenton have confirmed a Cape May County native as the head of the state’s parole board. Jim Plousis was confirmed by the full Senate on Thursday. He was serving as a U.S. Marshal and before that was sheriff in Cape May County. State Senator Jeff Van Drew was blocking the process for Plousis, because he wanted Cape May County Prosecutor Robert Taylor renominated to another term, but removed that opposition this week.
