The vote to suspend the district superintendent at Tuesday night’s contentious Pleasantville School Board meeting was overturned on Wednesday. James Riehman, state-appointed monitor of the Pleasantville school district overturned the decision to suspend the current superintendent and hire an outside legal council. In a statement released to the press, Riehman said the school board’s actions were “detrimental to the district’s continued efforts to the proper fiscal management of the district”.
