20 years in jail. That is the prison term for Jerome Byrd, who was sentenced in the death of Scott Godfrey. Godfrey was gunned down outside of a convenience store in Pleasantville in 2010. Byrd was indicted by a grand jury in 2013 and plead guilty in Sept. As apart of the plea deal, Byrd copped to aggravated manslaughter. He will be forced to serve at least 85 percent of his sentence before becoming eligible for parole.
