Another South Jersey athlete moved one step closer to making the U.S. Olympic Team on Thursday. 2006 Pleasantville graduate Nia Ali advanced to the semifinals of the 100-meter hurdles at the Olympic Track and Field Trials in Eugene, Oregon. In March the 27 year-old Ali won the 60 hurdles at the world indoor track and field championships. She still holds the Cape-Atlantic League record for the 100 hurdles at 13.65 seconds.
