PINELANDS COMMISSION NOMINEE DOESN’T GET APPROVAL VOTE

A nomination to the Pinelands Commission that could have swung a key vote did not get voted on in the Senate Judiciary Committee. Robert Barr is an aide to Senator Jeff Van Drew, who supports a pipeline project to the B.L. England power plant in Upper Township. The Pinelands Commission voted last year 7-7 on the pipeline and this nomination was viewed as the vote to tip a future vote over the top. No explanation was given for the delay on the vote.
