Good news from a nearly tragic accident. The pilot of a banner plane is said to be fine following a crash in Middle Township. Police arrived on the scene around 5 p.m. to a wooded area between Route 47 and the Delaware Bay. The banner plane was suspended by trees about 60 feet off the ground. Rescue teams threw a rope to the plane which the pilot used to climb down to a ladder. The pilot’s name has not been released, and the FAA is invstigating the accident.
