Jeffrey Pierson won a hotly contested election in Upper Township on Tuesday. Pierson, a republican, defeated Antonio Inserra easily by capturing 70 percent of the vote in the only Township Committee election. In Woodbine, Mayor William Pikolycky ran unopposed and received another term in office. Joining him on Council will be David Bennett and Hector Cruz.
