PHONE SCAM BEING WARNED OF IN CAPE MAY

The Cape May Police Department would like to make residents aware of another new telephone scam that has been reported the last 2 days. The male or female caller is stating that they have been in a car accident with a relative. The caller then states they need money for the damage to the car, then stating they are a member of a gang and will kill the family member if they don’t wire money to a money gram account.
