PHILLIES: UTLEY TO BEGIN SEASON ON DISABLED LIST

The Philadelphia Phillies have confirmed the worst:  Second baseman Chase Utley will very likely begin the 2011 season on the disabled list.  Phillies General Manager Ruben Amaro Jr. told reporters that Utley’s right knee is feeling better but is still acting up, so Utley will likely begin the season in one week on the shelf.  The Phillies have signed former Mets infielder Luis Castillo to the roster as an insurance policy.
