The Philadelphia Phillies are making some offseason moves. Center fielder Ben Revere was acquired by the Phillies from the Minnesota Twins in exchange for right-handed pitchers Vance Worley and Trevor May.
Revere, 24, hit .294 with 13 doubles, six triples, 32 RBI and 40 stolen bases in 124 games last season. A left-handed batter, he hit .314 against left-handed pitchers. Revere ranked third in the American League in stolen bases in 2012, tied for third in infield hits (37) and 10th in triples, leading the team in all three categories. He led the Twins outfielders in assists (8) and finished second in hits (150), behind only Joe Mauer (174).
