Lower Cape May Regional School District’s superintendent is retiring at the end of this school year. Jack Pfizenmayer was honored by Lower Township Council on the occasion of his retirement. At a June 17 council meeting, Deputy Mayor Norris Clark said Pfizenmayer was known as the kind of leader who listens first and seeks to understand before he seeks to be understood. Council presented Pfizenmayer with a plaques noting he held positions as a teacher, assistant principal of the Richard M. Teitelman School, school business administrator, board of education secretary and superintendent. Chris Kobik, superintendent of curriculum and instruction, will replace Pfizenmayer as superintendent of the school district.
