The Borough of Avalon has secured the permits it needs for a big dredging project that is expected to begin this fall. Borough Council was briefed Wednesday night by municipal engineer Thomas Thornton who told Council both state and federal permits are in hand for the project. Avalon will go out to bid at the end of this month for the dredging project which is expected to last two years. Various local and state channels will be dredged, along with Sterbeck Harbor in Avalon Manor, Middle Township.
