A package of bills to fix the pension system in the state have been authored for Republican lawmakers. The reforms include raising the retirement age, make workers contribute more out of their paycheck, and remove a past pension increase. Also, there would be no more adjustment for cost of living increases. These reforms were called for by Gov. Chris Christie, and now sponsored by fellow Republicans.
