Parts of Avalon will be subject to a scheduled power outage Tuesday afternoon. Avalon officials say that all sections of the Borough north of 61st Street will lose power for about 20 minutes at 4:00pm on Tuesday. The reason? Atlantic City Electric is building a new power substation in town and must cut power to de-energize the current substation and re-route power.
