PARENTS TO HAVE CHOICE FOR STUDENTS EDUCATION

A new report says students will be able to go certain school districts outside of their district. The Press of Atlantic City reports that the Inter-district Public School Choice Act will go into effect this fall. The report says Cape May City and Ocean City will be the two new Cape May County districts to enter into this choice plan. Lower Township already participates in this program. Students will be able to apply to the different districts. A lottery would be used if too many students apply to one district, according to the report.
