Dennis Township residents showed up in force at Thursday night’s board of education meeting, concerned about the budget cuts that would eliminate sports programs. Dennis Township Business Administrator Terri Nowotny told the crowd that the district would need $19,000 to bring back the extracurricular activities. Parents told officials they plan to form an independent fundraising group to save the spots programs next year. It was suggested by acting Superintendent Joseph LaRosa that not just sports, but all extracurricular groups should be reinstated if enough money is raised.
