Republicans have supported Mayor Richard Palumbo and Committeeman Ed Barr to run for reelection in Upper Township. The two had the GOP organization support in the township but were able to win the contested primary. Both Antonio Inserra and John DeSalvo ran against them. Palumbo came in first with 1022 votes, followed by Barr with 981. DeSalvo came in third well back at 435 votes. This means Palumbo and Barr will be on the Republican line in November for the election in Upper Township.
