PACKED HOUSE AT FREEHOLDER MEETING TO DISCUSS HOMELESS SHELTER IN WILDWOOD

A packed house at the Cape May County Freeholder meeting Tuesday evening as Wildwood-area residents turned out in force to oppose a County plan to put a homeless shelter in the city.  City leaders have opposed a suggestion that a homeless shelter and potential detox center should be located in Wildwood; Mayor Ernie Troiano instead has suggested a site near the County Jail, saying the shelter does not belong in a barrier island tourism community.
