A big federal award will bring some major dollars to Atlantic City Airport. U.S. Congressman Frank LoBiondo announced $3.2 million in funding for taxiway rehabilitation and reconstruction projects at the Atlantic City International Airport (ACY).
“Atlantic City International Airport is grateful to have the support of Congressman Frank LoBiondo who understands the importance of investment in aviation infrastructure for the safe and efficient operation of the airport,” SJTA Chairman Jamie Fox said. “We are thankful for his continuous support of ACY.”
The federal funding award is from the FAA’s Airport Improvement Program. Eligible projects include those improvements related to enhancing airport safety, capacity, security, and environmental concerns. Any professional services that are necessary for eligible projects — such as planning, surveying, and design — are eligible as is runway, taxiway, and apron pavement maintenance.
