A resident brought an unexploded ordinance into the police station on Tuesday. Atlantic City Police Department’s Bomb Squad responded and evaluated the ordinance. It was discovered it was from World War II era. The resident reported the ordinance was found by her son while fishing. Buildings and residential homes along Mechanic Street were evacuated as a precaution. If anyone finds what looks like unexploded military ordinance, they should not touch the ordinance. It can be a hazard Call 911 to properly dispose of the ordinance.
