A case involving Wildwood Police Chief Steven Long and Mayor Gary DeMarzo will begin oral arguments on Dec. 10. The case has been assigned to Superior Court Judge Valarie Armstrong. Long alleged that DeMarzo broke a state law commonly referred to as the Police Chief Bill of Rights, saying that DeMarzo involved himself too much in the day-to-day operations of the police department.
