“OPERATION FIRESIDE” READY FOR COAST GUARD RECRUITS

Red Cross officials say their goal in securing host families for Operation Fireside next week has been reached. The program matches U.S. Coast Guard recruits from Training Center Cape May with host families a home-cooked meal on Thanksgiving and Christmas. The Red Cross has been coordinating this special holiday program since the early 1980’s in Cape May and thanks the local community for participating once again.
