OPEN CONTAINER PROPOSAL TABLED FOR ATLANTIC CITY BOARDWALK

Atlantic City Council did not approve a proposal to allow open containers of alcohol on the boardwalk at their Wednesday night meeting. Council President Marty Small said the proposal was tabled because beach-block businesses not located on the boardwalk wanted to be considered in the new policy. The proposed open container policy limited the area allowing alcoholic beverages to the boardwalk between Albany and Metropolitan Avenues, along the casino district.
