A report released by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement Tuesday reveals revenue generated by gambling in the state last year has matched an all-time high. The $5.21 billion generated in 2022 tallies casino wins, betting at horse tracks, and online gambling, and represents a 10% increase over the amount raised the year before. The previous time gambling revenue was at this peak was 2006 when Atlantic City boasted 12 casinos before legal gaming had arrived in neighboring Pennslyvania.
