At least one person was killed during the crash of a small airplane in North Jersey Monday evening. The Associated Press reports that at least one person died when a small plane aborted a landing at the Essex County airport in Fairfield, New Jersey. The crash took place just before 6pm Monday about two blocks north of the airport. Authorities are trying to determine how many people were on board the plane. The pilot attempted to pull the plane up when he aborted the landing, and the accident followed.
