One person is dead following a boating accident in South Jersey on Tuesday. The United States Coast Guard reports that a boat capsized about ten miles off the coast of Barnegat Light on Tuesday evening. The 44 foot commercial fishing boat called “Mandy Ness” was in distress and the Coast Guard responded. Another fishing boat got to the scene first and pulled one man from the water. The other man was removed and unresponsive; that person was later pronounced dead at a local hospital. The name of the victim has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
