The Sons of Italy will bring back the feeling of the “Olde World“ with the 5th Annual Wildwood Olde Time Italian Festival on Friday, October 1 and Saturday, October 2, 2010 in Fox Park, located on Ocean Avenue between Burk and Montgomery Avenues across from the Wildwoods Convention Center. The FREE two-day festival celebrates the unique Italian culture with contests, crafts, rides and games for the little ones, authentic Italian cuisine and continuous live entertainment that is sure to please the entire family!
Take in the mouth-watering smells and tastes of an olde world Italian Market plus Italian made goods, crafts and merchandise. Vendors of all kinds will fill Fox Park, including those selling Italian food favorites including pastas, sausages, chicken cutlets, clams and spaghetti, tiramisu, cannolis and more. And if the delicious aroma of Italian cooking isn’t enough to draw you to the festival, then the extensive FREE live entertainment will.
The Olde Time Italian Festival will kick off on Friday, October 1 at 5 p.m. with the Procession of Saints Mass. FREE live music will begin at 6 p.m. featuring Idea 71, The David Christopher Band, and Emil Stuccio and The Classics.
The fun continues on Saturday, October 2 with a live radio broadcast from FUN 106.7 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. A meatball contest and pizza tossing contest will begin at 2 p.m. The FREE live entertainment will begin at 3 p.m. featuring 45 RPM, Idea 71, Tre Bella, Tom Pisi and Wildness (tribute to Louis Prima), Del Satins, and Larry Chance and The Earls.
