OFFSHORE WIND PROJECT REJECTED AGAIN BY BPU

There continues to be no offshore wind farm near Atlantic City as a proposal was shot down again. The state’s Board of Public Utilities denied the application on Friday from the Fisherman’s Energy wind project. If the project went into effect, it would create roughly 500 jobs. Senate President Steve Sweeney lambasted the decision, noting Atlantic City is already struggling enough financially and this would have helped the region.
