OCTOBER JOBS REPORT SHOWS SLIGHT RISE IN UNEMPLOYMENT

The latest jobs report was realeased Friday morning by the U.S. Labor Department and it shows the unemployment rate has inched upward. Statistics showed that the rate went from 7.8 percent to 7.9 percent, even though employers added 171,000 jobs in October. Analysts claim that one of the reasons for the increase in the unemployment rate is due to a higher number of the jobless looking for work.
